VALTEC™ calibrate lens setting
The VALTEC™ system is a high-quality audio solution that is widely used for professional sound reinforcement applications. One of the key features of the system is the acoustical lens, which is used to adjust the beam angle of the system. Follow these steps to optimize your VALTEC™ acoustical lens setting:
Gather Your Tools
Before you begin, make sure you have a torch and an Allen key size 1.5 on hand. - Locate the Resonance Port
Look into the resonance port with the torch. You'll find it on the left side from the back of the VC LINE element. Turn the VALTEC™ adjustment knob until the two lugs on the lenses are exactly opposite each other. You can watch a video demonstration to see this step in action.
- Loosen the Allen Nut
If the VALTEC™ adjustment knob is not at 5°, use the Allen key to loosen the Allen nut. Than continue with step 4. If it's set at 5° everything is ok. - Adjust the Knob
When the adjustment knob slides over the shaft, turn the knob so that it's at 5°, and then tighten the Allen nut firmly.
By following these simple steps, you can optimize the acoustical lens setting on your VALTEC™ system and ensure that you're getting the best possible beam angle for your sound reinforcement needs. Once the setting has been optimized, you can be confident that your VALTEC™ system will provide consistent, high-quality audio with the desired beam angle.
For VC LINE elements manufactured before 2023, the adjustment of the VALTEC™ system may no longer be correct.
